First period with Mr Truscott was in the computer suite. We found a site with lots of music venues in Leeds listed on it and added them to our data base we started on the first day. We also looked at Audiences. What one was and how you define your target audience. We looked at articles from different newspapers bearing the same story and tried to work out who the target audience was by looking carefully at the language used and the amount of detail.
Second period with Mr Romer, we were looking at different locations we had researched and chose 4-5 to go and visit to put into our film. We also had a little experiment with Serif Movie Plus and tried to edit our first attempts at the interviews so we could get used to the program for fifth period.
Third and Fourth, we watched different examples of interview from the TV on Youtube of Jonathan Ross interviewing Lady Gaga and Ben Stiller with a co-worker. We discussed how he adapted his style depending on the person he was interviewing, for example, with Lady Gaga who is quite an awkward person, he tried to make her feel comfortable by complimenting her and welcoming her warmly but he was also quite daring by saying things other people were thinking and being honest and forward with her whereas with Ben Stiller, who is a bit of a showman, he could be more open and ask him things he could with Gaga. Also, in the Ben Stiller interview, there was another guy being interviewed and we discussed how we could include the second person when we were the interviewer and the interviewee. We then went into the Drama studio and evaluated our first interviews. We then drafted a brief script in our pairs and went off to re film our videos taking on board all we had learnt. We also did a walk around the school and filmed it which would come in useful in the editing stage.
Fifth period, we finished any shooting we had to do then cracked on with editing. The walk around the school, we sped up and added music to it which we hope will look effective in the final result and then we just cut out bits and added titles and credits.
